A static music comparison site that pairs a song from the four years before high school graduation with a song of the same age today.
You’re the Oldies! compares music across generations. Enter a high school graduation year to see a song released during the four years before graduation alongside a song that would be approximately the same age today.
The site shows the class year, both release years, and the high school song’s current age. Visitors can request another comparison, share a result link, or search Spotify and YouTube Music for either song. Listening links use song and artist names as search terms rather than pointing to a verified recording.
Built with Astro and vanilla TypeScript, the site uses a bundled song catalog and deterministic comparison logic. Its vintage radio and record-store design sets the tone for the musical time-travel experience.
